Meet the Doc!

Hey there! I'm Dr. Erika Spampinato PT, DPT, CSCS - Owner & Physical Therapist of True North Physical Therapy

If you're reading this, there's a good chance you've already tried some things. Maybe you got the standard PT route: a folder of exercises and 10 minutes with a provider you never saw twice. Maybe someone told you to just rest, or that this is "part of getting older." Or maybe you're still doing what you love — running, lifting, chasing your kids around the yard — just gritting your teeth through pain you've stopped mentioning out loud.

I started True North because I got tired of watching that happen to people.

I'm Dr. Erika Spampinato — Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, with 8 years treating patients and 12 years coaching strength. I built this practice on one idea: modify, don't stop. You shouldn't have to choose between healing and staying active. With the right plan, you get both — real 1:1 sessions, real time to dig into what's going on in your body, and a plan built around what you actually want to get back to.

I train and lift myself, so when I tell you a modification will work, I'm not guessing.

Outside the clinic, I live in Brandon, SD, with my husband, Mike, our son, Everett, two dogs, and a cat. I'm also a new mom — currently relearning my own body in real time, right alongside my patients. It's reinforced for me that "modify, don't stop" isn't just a tagline. It's how you get through any big shift in life without losing yourself.

Wherever you're starting from — an old injury, a new goal, or a body that feels like it's starting over — I'd like to help you get to the other side of it stronger than when you started.
